Composidie Inc. is a vertically integrated contract manufacturer with core competencies in design and building of carbide progressive dies, high-speed metal stamping, reel-to-reel metal plating, production grinding & machining , rapid prototyping of designs and automated and semi-automated assembly.
Composidie first started designing and building progressive carbide stamping dies in 1971 with three employees. In 1978, the company moved into its current corporate headquarters, located east of Pittsburgh in scenic Western Pennsylvania.
Four decades of growth including internal expansion and the addition of selected independent companies with established reputations as leaders in their respective fields have helped Composidie reach unprecedented levels of excellence.
In 1985, Toolex Manufacturing brought its precision grinding expertise to the Composidie family. EDM Services, Inc., an innovative company specializing in close tolerance EDM machining joined the fold in 1992.
Composidie later added product finishing options through the acquisition of Leading Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of interconnect products specializing in chemical etching and reel-to-reel plating. In 1998, CTE Inc. became the latest addition as a stand-alone manufacturer of dies and metal stampings located in York, Pennsylvania.
Composidie is now a full-service contract manufacturing company with more than 300 dedicated employees that continues to grow and expand. Vertical integration in combination with our relatively low cost of overhead enable us to compete in today's global marketplace.
