Introduction:

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will invest approximately 10 billion yen to build a new plant for assembling and inspecting power semiconductor modules at its Power Device Works in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.

Features:

The new plant will consolidate assembly and inspection production lines to streamline the process from component intake to final shipment. Automated systems will improve manufacturing and product transportation, boosting productivity. The company will also enhance its integrated system for product development, from design to manufacturing.

The plant will cover a total floor area of 25,270m², spread across 5 floors.

The plant is expected to ensure a stable supply of products to meet growing demand for power semiconductors.

Fukuoka Prefecture has recognised Mitsubishi Electric as a corporate entity within the Green Asia International Strategic Comprehensive Special Zone.
