Introduction:
ABB will invest approximately $120 million to expand the production capacity of low voltage electrification products in the United States, strengthening its manufacturing footprint in key growth sectors such as data centers, buildings, and utilities.
Features:
As part of this investment, ABB will build a new advanced manufacturing facility in Selmer, Tennessee, and expand its existing plant in Senatobia, Mississippi.
The new Selmer facility will cover a total area of 320,000 square feet and is expected to increase production capacity by over 50 percent. It will manufacture essential electrical distribution components used in large-scale industrial sites, data centers, and high-rise buildings. Around 50 new jobs will be created, growing the Selmer workforce by over 25 percent. The facility is scheduled to be operational by Q4 2026.
ABB will also invest $40 million to double the size of its Senatobia facility. The expansion will support growing demand for advanced low voltage circuit breakers, which are critical for modern power systems. The upgraded site will add 200 new jobs and increase the workforce to over 1,000. Operations at the expanded facility are expected to begin in Q2 2026.
