AGFW TEMPERATURE SENSORS FOR HEAT METERS

The AGFW sensor is a special design, recommended by the AGFW, the German District Heating Association, for temperature measurement up to and including qp 2.5.

The sensor features an optimised response to temperature changes in the medium measured. AGFW sensors may only be installed immersed directly into the medium measured; thermowells cannot be installed.

This sensor type is available as a PT500 or a PT100. Ideally, the AGFW sensor is installed in a ball cock with a temperature sensor seat, in order to guarantee rapid and economical calibration replacement. The conductor is connected to the heat calculator using any appropriate terminal for the inward or return flow.
