Classic solution for the exploitation of high water volumes and low heads, Kaplan Turbines benefit of high efficiency even with wide flow rate range, thanks to the runner and wicket gate regulation system.

Zeco supplies Kaplan turbines both in vertical or horizontal solution, directly connected to the generator shaft or through the use of belts or gearbox coupling.

This turbine represents the company strength. It has been developed through the years in order to supply a product suitable for installations on irrigation channels with medium capacities and heads from two meters. The heart of the machine is represented by an adjustable blades runner, able to keep the maximum efficiency thanks to the level regulator command. In by-regulated version the coordination between the movement of the runner blades and the distributor allows the turbine to expand its field of operation to those situations of strong variations in flow and hydraulic head
