An integral part of WGM Engineering is our Technical and Design department. Offering comprehensive support to all areas of the wider business by producing designs which are safe, efficient and also comply with strict British/European standards and client specifications. Our Technical and Design team have gained an extensive knowledge of the construction industry, which aids in developing solutions to ensure we exceed our clients’ expectations.
Presenting a wealth of experience, WGM Technical and Design has delivered a full range of Civil and MEICA designs for a high volume of projects over the last 20 years. Our WGM Technical and Design team are trained specialists in conducting a variety of surveys which adhere to strict regulations and specifications, including;
- The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere Regulations (DSEAR)
- ATEX and Confined Space Categorisation Surveys and assessments
All clients receive support from our Technical and Design specialists from the initial conception until full design completion. Thorough considering is given to CDM and Health and Safety requirements at every stage of the process, ensuring the ‘For Construction’ design is meticulously measured to provide the most efficient, effective and safe construction possible. Our Technical & Design team have extensive knowledge of various sectors and have worked collaboratively with clients such as Scottish Water, Amey, Veolia Water and Ogilvie Holmes.

Initially producing designs from asset management, new process elements to new-build designs for greenfield sites in order to support the Water and Waste Water Industry, we now offer full Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and ICA capabilities, complemented by 2D and 3D CAD facilities.
