Ranges of up to one meter (HF) or several meters (UHF) can be achieved with the read/write devices depending on the surrounding conditions. The radio interface for read/write devices and tags is internationally standardized (ISO 15693, NFC type 5 with HF and ISO 18000-6c with UHF).
