BoxAir ACC
BoxAir ACC
BoxAir ACC® is an innovative Induced Draft Air-Cooled Condenser (ACC), suitable for all power plants ranging from 1 to 30 MWe. This ACC type consists of standard boxes that are easy to assemble. The extended standardization of this dry cooling solution guarantees a very short delivery schedule and a high reliability level.
BoxAir ACC® is suited for applications such as waste incineration plants, biomass, solar and geothermal power plants. It is also used when a capacity increase of an existing power plant is needed.
Features ofBoxAir®
BoxAir ACC® is an Induced Draft Air-Cooled Condenser (ACC), made of several standard boxes installed side by side.
The Single-Row Condenser tubes (SRC®) are arranged in two deltas inside the BoxAir ACC® box. The deltas are delivered with welded-on steam manifold and condensate collection headers. The air is drawn across the finned tubes by two axial flow fans located on top of the BoxAir ACC® box. This ACC concept drastically reduces site welding and construction duration thanks to its high level of pre-assembled parts (compared to a standard A-frame design).
Benefits
Innovative
BoxAir ACC® offers decreased wind sensitivity and improved performance during windy conditions. Lower steam velocity in the finned tubes results in a reduced risk of flow accelerated corrosion in the finned tubes.
High quality
BoxAir ACC® contains full heat exchangers including steam and condensate manifolds. To ensure quality and weld integrity, these parts are factory tested.
High performance
The lower back pressure available at low air temperature, leads to an enhanced average power plant output.
Cost effective
BoxAir ACC® has a standard design with a high level of prefabrication in the workshop. This leads to an easier and safer construction of the structure. The standard air-cooled condenser module reduces delivery time. BoxAir ACC® reduces visual impact since it has a lower overall height.
