CPS Series
Typical Applications
Heavy duty chemical process pump for paper and pulp, chemical transfer, food and beverage, distilling and other processing applications
Standard Design
Three power frame assemblies cover the entire product line. Maximum interchangeability helps reduce stock holding and assists with maintenance planning.
Centerline Discharge
Eliminates “off-set” piping.
Back Pull-out Design
Single craft maintenance ensures that the piping and driver are not disturbed when routine pump maintenance is performed on bearings, seals, packing, dynamic seal, impeller or front wear plate.
Fixed Frame Assembly
Shaft position is fixed in frame assembly which eliminates adjusting complex mechanical seals, maintains optimum Equiseal Dynamic Seal clearances.
Adjustable Front Wear Plate
Impeller to front wear plate is simply adjusted using external adjusting screws which maintains original high operating efficiency, lowers energy costs.
Choice of Shaft Sealing Arrangements
Conventional stuffing box for packing or mechanical seals. Cylindrical Seal Chamber (oversized) for improved cooling and lubrication of complex mechanical seals. Tapered Seal Chamber (oversized) provides self-venting of the seal-cavity, improved cooling and lubrication of complex mechanical seals. The tapered bore cavity allows the pumped product to drain during shut down or wash down. The Equiseal Dynamic Seal accomplishes sealing by centrifugal forces, thus eliminating the need for conventional packing or face type mechanical seals.
Heavy Duty Shaft Designs
An oversized, heavy duty shaft with shaft sleeve is provided standard. For difficult sealing applications, an optional shaft with no sleeve is available.
Oversized Bearings
Angular-contact thrust bearings and cylindrical roller bearings for radial loads sized for extended bearing life are provided.
