A full service progressive stamping service facility, Ramcel Engineering produces drive cages for SAS and SATA hard drives used in computer technology servers. Working with 301 full hard and half hard stainless steel, these drive cages are stamped with progressive dies to produce cages measuring 3.5″ x 4.5″.

The latest generation of cages are made with electromechanical grounding paint. Ramcel Engineering and their supplier collaborated on the implementation of this process that significantly reduced the cost to the customer. We maintain close ± .001″ tolerances in the production of these parts, with 1 part inspection every 5 minutes. This ensures that size and material integrity are maintained through the duration of the manufacturing run, as these pieces often must fit into tight, precisely measured spaces.
