Portable Hydraulic Rerailing Equipment

Railquip introduces a new rerailing system. The level of safety and handling was greatly improved by reducing the weights of the rerailing equipment such as the lifting jacks and the roller carriages. The Portable Hydrualic Rerailing Equipment is designed for rerailing cars and locomotives. The light weight of the rerailing equipment makes it a useful tool in solving rerailing problems safely, quickly and cost effectively; preventing further damage to track or rolling stock. The light metal alloy rerailing system is easily transported to a scene of a derailment by a road/rail equipped truck road/rail equipped trailer and rail bound car or helicopter. The improvement of safety by reduction of equipment weight and – as a result – easier handling of the equipment was the primary goal in developing the new TH-30 lifting jacks series. The series offers an integrated base plate for excellent stability and the use of a reliable safety valve. Furthermore, the rerailing lifting jacks were designed to function even at a 6-degree incline in a safe and reliable manner. At the same time, the weight of the lifting jacks has been reduced by up to 20% compared to the old TH series, which ensures easy and comfortable handling of the devices. Due to long term durability the new equipment offers a significant reduction of maintenance costs.
