Stereolithography
(SLA)
Stereolithography, commonly referred to as SLA, is one of the most popular additive manufacturing processes used to produce 3D objects. During this process, a solid state laser draws each layer profile and hardens the liquid resin to a specified thickness until the part is complete. It is then cleaned with a solvent solution and cured in a UV oven to finalize the material properties. SLA is best used for high resolution and clear finishes and fit and form testing.
