CT’s are used extensively for measuring current and drive the electrical utility’s watt-hour meter on virtually every building with three-phase service and single-phase services greater than 200 amperes.

The CT cabinet is designed to house these revenue generating devices and provide protection against contact and tampering. The size and internal complexity of the CT cabinets is based on the local utility’s design.
