When it comes to high-density storage applications, including document management and parts storage, Murata Machinery USA, Inc. has developed the automated storage and retrieval system for the job: the High-Density Pin Extractor. This AS/RS utilizes a pin extractor load handling device capable of handling specially designed bins with a 750lb weight capacity. A flexible solution, the height of the bins can vary, as the extractor utilizes chains and pins to move specially designed bins in and out of the rack locations.
The High-Density Pin Extractor allows for greater storage density, as lifting the load is not required. The extractor uses a motor, two chains, and a combination of proximity and photoelectric sensors to position, pick up, and return the bins to their storage locations. Plus, depending on your unique specifications, we can also develop custom loading and unloading operator stations!
