positioning
The width is adjusted by moving the upper parts of the housing, which are mounted on linear guides. Positioning is carried out using hydraulic servo cylinders or, if adjustments are only rarely required, using ball screws driven by electric gear motors. The height of the milling heads is also adjusted either servo-hydraulically or by an electric motor. All four milling heads can be adjusted in height independently of each other. As a result, side boards of different widths and positions are possible on the right and left. The prerequisite for this is that the sawing system is equipped with sideboard optimization.
