EDM OF CARBIDE ASSEMBLY NEST FOR THE CONSUMER PRODUCTS INDUSTRY

We do not put “Carbide” in our company name idly. When we were approached by a consumer products client from Elgin, IL to manufacture 50 carbide assembly nests for its own production facility, Imperial Carbide, Inc. got straight to work.

Using our carbide grinding, EDM hole drilling, CNC sinker and wire EDM abilities on a solid C-13 carbide blank, we produced an assembly nest that conformed to all client specifications: 1.511″ in length, .512″ in width, and .4100″ in height, with tightest tolerances of an ultra-precise ±.0001″ and an estimated part weight of .50 lbs.

From start to finish, by utilizing our various custom EDM capabilities, we were able to provide a finished carbide product in 4 weeks without having to wait for carbide performs.
