Rod ends

igubal® rod ends are used in many different sectors of industry. They facilitate rotary, oscillating and linear movements of the shaft – for example in packaging machines, offshore facilities and bicycles. There is a suitable version for almost every installation requirement. The rod ends are available in K and E size series (DIN ISO 12240) for shaft diameters from 2 to 30 mm (the shaft must have a tolerance between h6 and h9). The bearing tolerance and shape of the bearing housing are also variable – it can be long or short and has a male or female thread. In the standard version, the bearings are designed with a large bearing clearance to ensure reliable operation even at high peripheral speeds. The tolerance can be changed on request. igubal® rod ends maintain their running and wear properties, even in demanding environments. They are corrosion resistant, temperature resistant between -40 and +200 °C, resistant to media, UV radiation, nuclear radiation, dirt and dust. And unlike their metal counterparts, the rod ends can absorb vibrations. This property means they are predestined for high frequency vibration applications.
