Hannon Hydraulics has been a leader in manufacturing hydraulic power units (HPU) for 40 years. We custom design both electric motor and diesel engine HPUs up to 1400 hp as well as produce explosion-proof rated HPUs to operate in hazardous areas.
Hannon’s HPUs can be provided with electric motor starters, control panels, pressure and level sensors and PLC-based automatic controls. Typical HPUs consist of multiple electric motors driving axial piston pumps with various controllers such as pressure compensators, power limiters and load sense. Hydraulic fluid — oil, water-based, or other — is supplied through a custom manifold with relief valves, isolation ball and check valves and accumulators.
Hannon’s HPUs have a full filtration system with suction, pressure, return and circulation filters. Fluid is also cooled by air or water heat exchangers in a motor-pump driven circulation loop. Reservoirs are sufficiently sized, elevated for best pump performance, and can be carbon or stainless steel. HPUs are plumbed with hoses, stainless tubing and carbon or stainless steel pipe. HPUs are steel skid mounted with a drip pan and drain, lifting eyes, and blasted and painted with a marine three-part coating system.
All equipment is provided fully assembled, pressure and function tested, painted with marine 3-part coating and manufacturing record books.
ABS and DNV certifications are available.
