We machine graphite and metallics including copper, copper tungsten, tellurium copper, oxygen-free copper, tungsten carbide, tungsten, silver tungsten, and a variety of special alloys.
Graphite is the material most used to make EDM electrodes. It is the preferred material for EDM in production, tool & die, aerospace, plastic injection molds and dies, and many other applications including micro machining. Graphite offers many advantages including low wear, easier machining, and is very cost effective compared to other materials.
For over 50 years, Graphel has been manufacturing EDM electrodes out of all the materials mentioned above (plus a few more!). There has never been such a wide range of applications that our customers continue to utilize the EDM process to accomplish, constantly requiring new EDM electrode shapes and sizes.
