Mission Statement

CSI is committed to supplying a high quality product for a reasonable cost. Our products are proudly manufactured in the USA, using conflict free materials sourced domestically, or where not possible, Europe. We do not believe in using inferior off-shore raw materials, therefore making quality the primary focus of our company.

History

CSI has been in business since 1969. Our expertise ranges from simple commercial product to aerospace, with a focus on products engineered for the specific application. Each product has been engineered to fulfill the needs of the demanding audiophile.

Product

No one company has a capacitor that meets the needs of everyone. Although many companies tout their product as the “best”, we know, based on our 25+ years of experience in the audio, that’s not the case. Each audio circuit has subtle nuances that require a particular construction to bring out the musicality the engineers are looking for. Our product line offers a broad variety of materials and construction to suit just about any discerning ear.

we understand the construction methodology, material science, and how to bring that to the end user. Our product is not a massed produced component with fancy packaging. They are carefully designed using the correct dielectric and electrode to match the final application. Where required, we also match the correct impregnant for each style/type of capacitor. Where other suppliers offer “filled” components; we realize that in order to supply the finest product, the capacitor has to be fully impregnated, using a proprietary vacuum/ pressure process.

The following capacitor configurations are offered in a tubular hermetic construction. Capacitance ranges from .001 uf to 20 uf with a standard tolerance of +-5%. (tighter tolerance upon request) Voltage ranges from 100 VDC to 1200VDC

KPAl – KPSn – KPCu

The KP series utilize capacitor grade kraft paper as the dielectric, combined with one of three electrodes (aluminum, tin, or Copper). Multiple layers of paper are using in the design to increase reliability. The parts are available in either oil or wax impregnated.

KPMYAl – KPMYSn – KPMYCu

The KPMY series utilize capacitor grade kraft paper, combined with Tejin capacitor grade Polyester film. A particular ratio of paper to film is maintained for desired inherent characteristics. The KPMY series can be supplied with one of three electrodes (aluminum, tin, or Copper). The parts are available in either oil or wax impregnated.

KPPPAl – KPPPSn – KPPPCu

The KPPP series utilize capacitor grade kraft paper, combined with Toray capacitor grade Polypropylene film. A particular ratio of paper to film is maintained for desired inherent characteristics. The KPPP series can be supplied with one of three electrodes (aluminum, tin, or Copper). The parts are available in either oil or wax impregnated.

PPAl – PPSn – PPCu

The PP series utilize Toray capacitor grade Polypropylene film. PP series can be supplied with one of three electrodes (aluminum, tin, or Copper). The parts are available in either oil or wax impregnated. We feel that impregnated capacitorsOffer superior electromechanical characteristics over dry or un-impregnated capacitors, therefore offer impregnated capacitors.

MYAl – MYSn – MYCu

The MY series utilize TEJIN capacitor grade Polyester film. MY series can be supplied with one of three electrodes (aluminum, tin, or Copper). The parts are available in either oil or wax impregnated. We feel that impregnated capacitorsOffer superior electromechanical characteristics over dry or un-impregnated capacitors, therefore offer impregnated Capacitors

PTSn – PTCu

The PT series utilize capacitor grade PTFE film. PT series can be supplied with one of two electrodes (tin or copper). The parts are available in either oil or wax impregnated. We feel that impregnated capacitors offer superior electromechanical characteristics over dry or un-impregnated capacitors, therefore offer impregnated capacitors.
