Features:

GR8048 is a special graphite braided packing made with mineral expanded graphite in the body and continuous P.A.N. carbon yarns on the corners. Each yarn is impregnated with a special compound of graphite powder and inorganic inhibitor of corrosion. GR8048 is a graphite packing versatile, very useful in the maintenance fields, suitable for valves for steam, hydrocarbon and chemical services and for dynamic applications The graphite is not suitable with strong oxidizers and with exhausted gases or hot air over 450°C.

Composition:

  • Pure continuous carbon P.A.N. yarns and expanded graphite strands
  • Pure graphite powder
  • Inorganic inhibitor of corrosion

Applications:

  • Graphite packing for pump and valves
