Due to its construction, this turning center is perfectly suitable for highest precision machining of small to smallest component dimensions. The flexible modular system offers various machine variants in space saving design, all of which are characterised by a very small thermal growth.This innovative tool concept is designed for highest precision, easiest handling, external measuring of tools and shortest set-up times. The tools are held in tool-blocks with 5 positions each. These tool-blocks can be installed and removed very fast via a specially developed interface and guarantee a repeatability of less than 0, 01 mm. The new tools are installed and measured externally and the coolant supplies are adapted to the specific tool positions. Ideally this takes place during machining of the current job. The spindles have a maximum speed up to 15.000 rpm in combination with varying clamping systems for sensitive clamping. Y-axes increase the field of applications of this machine and additionally reduce set-up times because the tools can be set to center height with this NC-axes. Up to six milling spindles in combination with an NC-swivel axis offer various possibilities for machining of complex workpieces.All variants of the DOLittle series can be automated either by Benzinger own loading and unloading devices with shortest workpiece changing times or by separate robot cells. The use of a bar feeding system enables complete machining from the bar.Modern control systems from Siemens and Fanuc with various programming options complete the overall package.
