Steatite Ceramic – Crystalline Magnesium Silicate exhibit excellent electrical properties. By manufacturing different grades of steatite ceramics, C-Mac International can meet a variety of electrical and mechanical requirements. For general applications, specify L-3 steatite ceramics. For applications where low electrical loss is critical, specify L-5 Steatite ceramics.  We have the capability to manufacture a wide range of extruded sizes, accommodating both resistor and igniter manufacturers. Also, our superior manufacturing capabilities allow us to produce complex products to accommodate the heater and appliance industry. Some component part examples include ceramic heaters, ceramic resistors and ceramic igniters. Other applications for steatite ceramics material include thermostats, lamp bases, appliances, welding equipment and relays.
