Self-supporting low-voltage aerial cable for power transmission

Copper cores covered with a strain-relieved braid and a polyethylene sheath make the FAWIL low-voltage cable a self-supporting aerial cable. Thanks to its own low weight the cable, deliverable in various cross-sections and core configurations, is especially suitable for connecting distributed loads and for bridging difficult terrain – whether forests, scree or rivers. The break- and UV-resistant, corrosion-free aerial cable is optionally available as a data cable. Calculation examples and original FAWIL accessories are available for installation.

Materials and components

• Cu conductor bare class 1 (IEC 60228), rigid

• Cu conductor bare class 2 (IEC 60228), cord

• Core insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE)

• Core colours per CENELEC HD 308 S2

• Cores stranded in optimal length of lay

• Outer sheath made of polyethylene (PE)
