Power Factor Regulator BLR-CX

The Power Factor Regulator BLR CX is an intelligent and easy to handle device for monitoring and control of inductive and capacitive compensation systems.

Only a few settings are necessary to set up the controller and to run the automatic initialisation. Efficient and easy in handling, the power-value, cos phi value and step sizes are automatically detected and monitored after initialisation.

The detected step sizes are constantly examined and updated so that the compensation always works with actual values. The capacitor’s ageing processes are monitored and trigger an alarm when dropping below a specific output value.

The wide-range power supply with a voltage range of 90 – 550 VAC and a frequency range of 50/60 Hz make the BLR CX suitable for a wide range of applications. One device for worldwide applications. The device is insensitive against harmonic distortions due to the switching power supply. This is a significant advantage when using in grids with high harmonic distortions.

The patented Best Fit Algorithm will achieve the best results of the power factor cos ϕ with the least number of switching operations. The number of switch cycles and switching duration will be evenly distributed among steps of equal size. This increases the lifetime of the capacitors and contactors and thus preserves your investment.
