Flat Belts

Woven Endless

Flat Woven Endless belts are used on a wide variety of equipment for many different applications and specific end uses. Their uses vary from extremely sensitive drive applications, such as instrumentation, recording devices, and sensitive weigh-pan conveying applications, to light and medium-duty uses, such as currency and check transports, film transports, paper handling, and vacuum transporting sections of business and office machinery, all the way up to high-speed grinding, spindle drives, wire drawing applications, woodworking equipment, and textile machinery drives. The variety of possible applications requires a vast range of specific physical properties that enable each belt to perform its task continuously, with good reliability throughout its life.

Flat Woven Endless belts combine many desired features, such as a good strength/thickness ratio, adaptability to a wide range of speeds (from slow-moving conveying to the driving of grinding spindles up to 100,000 RPM), quiet vibration-free operation; truly endless construction (no joints or seams to inhibit flex life), excellent dimensional stability and uniformity throughout their length, and maximize efficiency because the pitch line of the belt is close to the surface being driven.

Stretch

Stretch belts are available in silicone, Hypalon®*, neoprene, EPDM, polyurethane, natural rubber, and nitrile. These elastomeric stretch belts provide excellent flexibility, good abrasion resistance, and a high coefficient of friction.

Recommended for small diameter pulleys, conveyors with fixed centers, and all light duty drives, they can be perforated for use on vacuum transports, and cleats and custom profiles can be molded to the base belt.

Applications for stretch belts include capstan winding, paper transport, light-duty mini drives, and non-marking applications.

Semi Stretch

This belt’s variational ability allows the belt to stretch out and recover to its original dimensions because of its intricate weave pattern. Because of the elasticity of the belt, extensions can be made beyond the belt’s running length and still provide sufficient tension to drive. Tension decay is minimized and the belt’s life is increased.

Unsupported Hypalon®*

Unsupported Hypalon®* is classified as a stretch belt, it eliminates the need for idlers and makes it possible to use multiple belts in sets. Due to its excellent resistance to oxidation, ozone, and abrasion, it is an ideal belt to convey documents in copiers.

Unsupported EPDM

Unsupported Urethane

Unsupported Urethane is classified as a stretch belt. Belts are available for full-stretch, high-coefficient of friction applications. Due to its high abrasion and coefficient of friction, it is ideal for paper handling and the fiber-optic industry. The belt’s ability to correct any misalignment makes this elastic belt excellent for precise drives.
