Custom gearboxes for Army Corps of Engineers Dam
Atlanta Gear Works recently supplied nine custom-designed gearboxes for a United States Army Corps of Engineers dam. The gearboxes were direct replacements for 50-plus-year-old gearboxes from Philadelphia Gear.
AGW has now supplied new gearboxes for five of the nine gates at the lock and dam.
