A comprehensive range of lifting tackle is available. Test certificates are supplied with all equipment. For cable percussion rigs we recommend the following equipment: 2-ton snatch block Single sheave type with lifting eye, suitable for 1/2″ wire rope. Also available are double and triple sheave types, with a range of lifting capacities and to suit different rope diameters.

30 cwt D-shackle High tensile D-shackles suitable for Safe Working Loads ranging between 0.25 and 80 tonne.

Crosby safety swivel hook 3.2 ton type recommended for cable percussion rigs, complete with safety latch. Alternative lifting capacities available.

Rope (“bulldog”) grips Galvanised rope grips (at least 3 required per rope end), to suit 1/2″ diameter rope for cable percussion rigs. Alternative sizes on request.

Rope thimbles Galvanised for 1/2″ diameter rope, or alternatives on request.

Steel drilling cable Left-hand lay 1/2″ diameter 6×19 strand with fibre core recommended for cable percussion rigs. Minimum breaking load 10 tonnes. Supplied in 200 ft (58.8 m) coils. Alternative diameters 2 – 40 mm on request.
