The AMT turntable press family is constructed of heavy duty welded box tube steel framework. This essential design characteristic enable the turntable press to withstand the forces required to form today's energy efficient, hight slot fill electric motors.

Like all AMT machines that require hydraulic power, the turntable press utilizes an internal self-contained hydraulic power unit to minimize floor space requirements and external plumbing. Machine functions are controlled with a programmable logic control system (PLC). Using a precision intermittor index system, the stators are moved through any combination of six work stations. Each work station is designed to incorporate automatic stack height sensing to eliminate any changeover time when processing different hight stators. Stator nests in the index table locate the stator and lead wires throughout the processing.
