Using state of the art machinery and in-house facilities, our highly skilled workforce are able to transform customers drawings or samples, ensuring the final product is to their exact specification.
Depending upon the size and quantity of gaskets required, we have a machine that can manufacture the final product, from one of the samples to multi-thousand batches, one of our many automated presses or CNC machines can provide a solution. Gaskets are one of our more popular products as many industries require them for sealing against dust, air and moisture, gap-filling between uneven surfaces or for reducing unwanted noise and vibration.
Our onsite laminating service not only allows us to laminate layers of cork to create greater thicknesses but also enables us to supply synthetic bonded cork covered with a range of self-adhesives, foils and even layers of other materials.
What are Synthetic Cork Gaskets?
A gasket is a sheet of material, usually cut to a bespoke shape used to fill gaps and irregularities between uneven surfaces to create a seal when under compression. Synthetic bonded cork or synthetic cork is a mix of synthetic rubber and cork granules bound together using a liquid binder. The addition of rubber creates a speckled, darker appearance. This material is often used where the gasket is to be exposed to fuel and oil, and where a watertight seal is crucial.
