The CCMT has been held successfully for ten sessions since 2000 first in Beijing, then in Shanghai, 2010 and 2012 in Nanjing in even years. Organized by CMTBA – the China Machine Tool and Tool Builders' Association – CCMT became one of China's biggest machine tool and metal-working exhibitions – in fact with the move back in 2014, it became the Shanghai-edition of CIMT, the leading machine tool technology show in Asia!

The 11th CCMT in 2020 will be staged again at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre – SNIEC in Pudong. This time again in 10 regular halls: (N1 with N5 and W1 with W5) with a total gross-space of some 120,000 m².

With the successful re-start in Shanghai 2014, CCMT impressively showed it's good reputation throughout China and Far East: The number of exhibitors and most important the again increased number of visitors at CCMT 2018 have proved the importance of the show for the whole Chinese and Far East market.

From 2016 on, international partners of the organizer CMTBA have supported not only CIMT, but also CCMT as the leading machine tool event in even years in China. No one else in China and throughout the Far East region is able to reach such a number of highly qualified visitors.
