About 31.BI-MU

From 9 to 13 October 2018, fieramilano Rho will host the 31st edition of BI-MU, the most important Italian exhibition dedicated to the industry manufacturing metal cutting and forming machine tools, robots, automation, digital manufacturing, auxiliary and enabling technologies.

The only Italian trade show of the sector having a real international appeal, the first one opening to the world of connectivity for the industry, presenting a special focus on the Internet of Things, Big Data, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Increased Reality, System Integrators, Additive Manufacturing, vision and systems control.

As a natural stage to show the influences between the world of manufacturing systems and digital technologies, through an in-depth overview of the main market trends and of the productive models generated over the first years of the “fourth industrial revolution”, 31.BI-MU presents a renewed technological product range covering all solutions related to the “factory of the future” and with lots of new projects that will materialise within the exhibition area created to transform the trade show into a balanced mix of technological display,  thematic areas, infotainment zones, convention areas.

Exhibitors Profile

Metal cutting and metal forming machine tools, robots, automation, digital manufacturing, auxiliary technologies, enabling technologies, additive manufacturing, fluid-power systems, mechatronics, finishing treatments, tools, components, equipment and accessories, metrology, welding, IoT, big data, analytics, cyber security, cloud computing, augmented reality, system integrators, vision systems, software … these are only a few of the technologies on show at 31.BI-MU.

Visitors Profile

With over 60,000 visits registered every edition, during its 60 years of history BI-MU has been able to assert its importance as an unmissable event for the operators of the manufacturing industry, who may here find any solutions for their needs.

To be able to rely on an extremely specialised and competent public that is also directly involved in the purchasing processes is the real added value offered by BI-MU to its exhibitors, also ensuring qualified visits by foreign operators.

Industrial machinery, mechanical industry, automotive, aerospace and energy are the most represented sectors along the aisles of the exhibition halls, also because these sectors are “large consumers of manufacturing technologies”. In addition, there are players of “niche” sectors, such as food, design, home furnishings, watch-making, jewellery and biotech, which are strongly developing today and look for specially-made solutions.
