Metso receives filtration equipment order for Jindal Steel’s iron ore project in India

Metso has secured an order from Jindal Steel for six Larox® FFP 3512 filters for its iron ore pellet plant in Angul, eastern India. The sustainable filtration technology, part of the Metso Plus offering, will enhance efficiency and moisture reduction. This order strengthens Metso’s long-standing partnership with Jindal Steel, which also uses Metso filters at its Barbil plant.
Metso has received an order for sustainable filtration technology for Jindal Steel’s iron ore pellet plant in Angul, in eastern India. The order value, which is not disclosed, is booked in Minerals’ 2025 second-quarter orders received.

Currently, Jindal Steel has steel production capacity of 9.6 MTPA, and captive power capacity of 1,634 MW. The six fully automatic Larox® FFP 3512 filters, which are part of the Metso Plus offering, will be installed in the company’s a pellet plant located in Angul, India.
