Metso delivers high-performance crushers to Grupo Mexico’s La Caridad copper concentrator plant

Metso will supply several high-capacity Nordberg MP800 cone crushers to Grupo Mexico’s La Caridad copper mine in Sonora, Mexico, to boost concentrator capacity. Valued at over €20 million, the order strengthens the long-term partnership and highlights Metso’s advanced, energy-efficient crushing solutions for large-scale copper mining operations.

Metso will deliver to Grupo Mexico several high-capacity Nordberg® MP800 cone crushers. The crushers will be installed at La Caridad copper mine’s concentrator plant in Nacozari, Sonora, Mexico, to increase the plant’s capacity.  

Grupo Mexico is the largest copper producer in Mexico. Metso has a long-term strategic partnership with the company and has delivered a significant amount of equipment to their different mining sites during recent years.

The value of the order, which was booked in the Minerals segment’s 2025 third-quarter order intake, was over EUR 20 million.
