LocatorX Announces New President and CEO to Focus on Taking First Product to Market, Public Offering

10 December 2018

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Dec. 6, 2018  /PRNewswire/ -- LocatorX, a tech company developing accurate, inexpensive and flexible tracking technology based on a nanomaterials patent from the University of Oxford, announced the appointment of seasoned IT executive Scott Fletcher as President and Chief Executive Officer by the company's Board of Directors. Fletcher will focus on taking the company's first product to market with several customers, begin manufacturing a microchip, launch a major marketing program, register additional patents, and continue the company's path towards an SEC Reg A+ Direct Public Offering.

Fletcher has an extensive history of building and leading technology organizations in both small startup companies as well as large multinational corporations. His career encompasses more than 30 years of experience with information technology solutions and new business programs for companies including Shell, PeopleSoft (now owned by Oracle), Dun & Bradstreet Software, Evant (now owned by Manhattan Associates), and i2 Technologies (now owned by JDA Software Group).

In June 2018, Mr. Fletcher retired after 10 years with Ultimate Software where he was a Vice President. He played a key role in Ultimate Software's surpassing $1 billion in annual revenue.

In a recent interview, Fletcher explained how he joined the company, "I am an over 30-years industry veteran working with startups and taking them to very large-scale operational technology companies. I had been an original angel investor so I'm very familiar with the product and what was going on with the operations."

Upon joining the company, Fletcher said, "I look forward to leading LocatorX as we work towards the next generation of GPS as the world's first Solid-State Atomic Clock microchip. We have the essential patents in place, are developing the technology, and now I look forward to adding the operational excellence necessary to bring on our first customers and build out the technology necessary to commercialize the patents we have an exclusive license to."

LocatorX Founder and CTO Billy Meadow said: "As we get key technology infrastructure in place, like the production of our field test chipset at The University of Washington – Washington Nanofabrication Facility, it is crucial to bring on an experienced business leader like Scott to ensure our business operations infrastructure is ready for rapid growth."
