Okuma America Corporation Announces Next-Generation Partner Program

5 August 2023

Okuma America Corporation, a renowned global leader in computer numeric control (CNC) machine tools and automation systems, is proud to announce the launch of their latest initiative, the 'Partners in Technology' program. This cutting-edge program is designed for a select group of elite companies that offer best-in-class technologies to complement Okuma products. It represents an evolution of the previous 'Partners in THINC Program' and is structured to provide even greater benefits to Okuma users and its 40+ member partner companies.

Since its inception in 2007, the Okuma partner program has fostered a collaborative network of companies specializing in products, services, and support for the metal-cutting and manufacturing industries. These partners are carefully chosen based on strict criteria such as product quality, service capabilities, and compatibility with Okuma machine tool technologies. The members consist of leading providers of various machine tool peripherals, including automation technologies, CAD/CAM software, coolant systems, metrology products, productivity components, tooling, workholding, and more. The program's ultimate goal is to unite this network to offer comprehensive solutions for manufacturers.

The core focus of Okuma's Partners in Technology program is to optimize machine tool production, profitability, and performance. Through collective efforts, partners continuously monitor critical factors, proactively reducing downtime, and ensuring consistency even before the tools touch metal. This dedication aims to streamline manufacturing processes and eliminate errors, resulting in enhanced productivity for their customers.

Mike Hampton, the Business Development Manager at Okuma, who oversees the Partners in Technology program, eagerly anticipates the fruitful collaborations driven by the initiative. He believes that the best solutions are often discovered through teamwork rather than individual efforts. The Partners in Technology program embodies this spirit by aligning Okuma's corporate values of 'passion for manufacturing' and 'drive for innovation,' positioning all the necessary elements to transform challenges into productivity for their valued customers.

For the convenience of the Partners in Technology members, Okuma America Corp. has a dedicated facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. This facility serves as a hub for partners to showcase their products on Okuma machine tools, interact with local customers, access dedicated workspace, network with fellow partner companies, and host events. The facility is open to visitors within the manufacturing environment, who can arrange a visit by contacting an official partner, an Okuma team member, or an Okuma distributor.
