Metso signs EUR 85 million contract for delivery of a copper concentrator to Kazakhstan

Metso has recently inked a contract for the supply of a new copper concentrator to be constructed in Kazakhstan. The order, valued at around EUR 85 million, has been recorded in the Minerals segment's third-quarter 2023 order book.

Metso's comprehensive package includes the primary process equipment for grinding, flotation, and dewatering. It encompasses cutting-edge components like the HIGmill® high-intensity grinding mills, TankCell® flotation cells available in various sizes spanning from 30 to 630 cubic meters, Larox® PF pressure filters, HRT High-Rate Thickeners, an advanced online sampling and analyzing system, as well as field instrumentation and Proscon® automation for the entire concentrator plant.

Of noteworthy mention is that the flotation cells, pressure filters, and high-rate thickeners are part of the company's Planet Positive portfolio, recognized for their exceptional energy and water efficiency.
