Emerson Expands Automation Leadership With Agreement to Acquire Flexim

17 August 2023

Emerson has announced that they're acquiring a company called FLEXIM Flexible Industriemeßtechnik GmbH. FLEXIM is a leader in using special technology to measure how liquids, gases, and steam flow in pipes. They're based in Berlin, Germany, and they have a lot of customers and a large number of flow measurement devices installed around the world.

FLEXIM's technology is really accurate and needs very little maintenance. They work in industries like chemicals, water treatment, healthcare, food and drinks, and power generation. This deal will help Emerson expand their automation and measurement capabilities, making their range of products even better. After the deal, FLEXIM's Berlin office will become a special center for this kind of flow measurement technology.

Ram Krishnan, who is the Chief Operating Officer of Emerson, said they're excited about this because FLEXIM's technology fits really well with what Emerson already does. They're looking forward to working together to make even better solutions for different industries.

The deal is planned to be finished by the end of Emerson's financial year 2023, but there are some usual steps that need to happen first. This should be good for Emerson's business and will make their products even more impressive. The details of the deal weren't shared publicly. FLEXIM will be included in Emerson's Measurement & Analytical part of the company.
