CMR announces opening of Thailand automation engineering operation

CMR Group has launched an automation engineering service in Thailand.The Bangkok-based operation will provide a range of engineering services, including switchboard supply and fabrication, to the country’s sugar mill, starch, automotive tyre, and food and beverage manufacturers, as well as utility suppliers.

The firm will lead the development in customised automation architecture design, PLC DCS SCADA programming, power quality improvement and power monitoring solution design, LV MV switchboard maintenance, and protective relay testing and onsite installation and commissioning under general manager Schwanwit Wongwetprasit.

With growth plans for 2017, it will be targeting opportunities opening up for manufacturing service and maintenance work following government approval for the construction of new sugar mill and power plants.

CMR Thailand has expertise in industry-specific applications based on Siemens, Schneider and Rockwell automation platforms, and is part of CMR Group, which supplies instrumentation and controls for offshore platforms and vessels, marine, engines and industrial applications around the world.
