Preparation of Wurtzite Boron Nitride: Wurtzite BN can be obtained via static high-pressure or dynamic shock methods. The limits of its stability are not well defined. Both c-BN and w-BN are formed by compressing h-BN, but formation of w-BN occurs at much lower temperatures close to 1700 °C.

Typical Applications
a) For sintering coarse grit polycrystalline structure powders, which are later used for manufacturing traditional cutting and grinding tools. Cutting inserts made from Wurtzite boron nitride material have high shock resistant properties superior to regular polycrystalline CBN. It is an excellent material for steel polishing applications such as molds, dies, etc.
b) Wurtzite Boron Nitride with plate shape particles is used as a raw material for sintering coarse grit polycrystalline structure powders, which are later used for manufacturing traditional cutting and grinding tools. The cutting inserts made from Wurtzite Boron Nitride material have high shock resistant properties superior to regular polycrystalline CBN.
c) Wurtzite Boron Nitride with regular crystal shape particles is the perfect material for steel polishing applications, such as, molds, dies, etc.
