The ABB stall at the “Make in India” week was graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven who took a closer look at the dual armed robot created by ABB and named YuMi.
As an integral part of the Swedish Pavillion, ABB exhibited contemporaneously modern technologies at the exposition, all created in India.
For over hundred years, ABB India has been a fundamental contributor to India’s power and automation sector. Its support and presence has been prevalent throughout the nation’s technological climb.
ABB India’s achievements and milestones can be outlined by the HVDC project which was deployed nearly a quarter of a century ago, the innovative canal top solar project, the first pilot multisource micro-grid in the heart of Delhi and the reinforcement of Indian Railways last year.
A formal presentation was also made by ABB during which Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, Marcus Wallenberg, Vice Chairman, Investor AB, Stefan Löfven, Prime Minister Sweden, Narendra Modi, Prime Minister, India and Sanjeev Sharma, CEO and MD were present.
