Introduction:

Enfinity Global Inc. a leading renewable energy company, announced the expansion of its battery energy storage systems (BESS) portfolio with two new projects totaling 425 MW of power capacity Texas, US.

Features:

The two Texas-based BESS projects will offer a combined storage capacity of 850 MWh with a two-hour duration and are strategically located in ERCOT’s Houston and Dallas zones. With ERCOT experiencing record-breaking load growth, particularly due to the expansion of AI-driven data centers, these systems are expected to play a crucial role in stabilizing the grid and supporting the continued integration of renewable energy sources.

Enfinity Global plans to invest over $7 billion and create more than 5,000 construction jobs in this sector over the coming years, reinforcing its contribution to both the clean energy transition and U.S. economic growth.

Currently, Enfinity’s U.S. portfolio includes 400 MW of operational assets, 19 GW of solar PV and storage projects under development, and an additional 37 GW in negotiation. The company anticipates surpassing 1 GW of operational and under-construction solar and storage assets in the U.S. by the end of the year.

Carlos Domenech, CEO of Enfinity Global, stated, “We are proud to invest, power, and enable technology at an unprecedented speed, cost, and functionality in the race for global competitiveness—all while creating new jobs and making substantial investments in the U.S. economy.”

Ricardo Díaz, CEO of Enfinity Global Americas, added, “Enfinity’s proven capabilities in in-house greenfield development have enabled us to expand into executing stand-alone BESS projects. This positions us as a key player in strengthening ERCOT’s power grid and unlocking value-accretive investment opportunities for Enfinity and our financial partners.”

Construction on the two projects is scheduled to begin in the second and fourth quarters of 2025.
