Introduction:

ANDRITZ has secured an order from voestalpine to upgrade the electrical and automation systems of a hot-dip galvanizing line at their steel plant in Linz, Austria.

Features:

The processing line, operational since 1973, has consistently produced high-quality galvanized steel strip and undergone regular modernisations. Over time, multiple rebuilds and upgrades have introduced various electrical and automation systems.

ANDRITZ will streamline these systems by implementing a unified, user-friendly electrical and automation setup designed for efficient operation. 

To minimise production disruptions, the upgrade will be carried out in stages, with the project set to be fully completed by the end of 2028.
