Introduction:

ANDRITZ has been chosen by Companhia Paranaense de Energia (COPEL) to refurbish and upgrade the Governador Parigot de Souza hydropower plant in Curitiba, Brazil.

Features:

The scope of ANDRITZ's supply includes the modernisation of the four Francis turbine generator units, each with a capacity of 106 MW, along with the governors, excitation system, automation system, and all related auxiliary systems.

The aim of the project is to extend the asset's lifespan and improve its performance.

This contract strengthens the long-standing partnership between ENGIE and ANDRITZ, marking the largest contract ever signed by ANDRITZ Hydro Brazil for a single hydropower plant modernisation project.

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028.
