This strategic deal leads to the formation of Krause Automation, a new entity intended to bridge classical plant engineering with groundbreaking robotics and AI capabilities.

The transaction, signed on November 24 and slated for regulatory approval, is a key milestone in thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology’s broader strategy to concentrate on core business areas such as Chassis, Components, Aftermarket, and Forging. thyssenkrupp’s Automation Engineering unit has been globally recognized for its custom mechanical engineering and product-specific automation systems. The integration with Agile Robots is expected to accelerate the deployment of new products and next-generation automation solutions, extending the combined company’s reach into sectors such as intralogistics, electronics, and medical technology.

Krause Automation pays homage to its historical roots through its name, referencing Johann A. Krause Maschinenfabrik, established in Bremen in 1950. As a consolidated systems provider, Krause Automation will deliver complete, turnkey solutions—from intelligent hardware components to digital factory-wide automation platforms. Restructuring activities at existing sites in Bremen and Chemnitz/Hohenstein-Ernstthal will continue separately and remain unaffected by the transition, providing business continuity for clients and staff.
