Webtec Products Limited - manufacturers of hydraulic test equipment and components and for the mobile, industrial and agricultural industries. Major products of the company used worldwide are hydraulic test equipment, portable hydraulic tester, hydraulic flow meter and hydraulic flow indicator.

Hydraulic Test Equipment

Webtec has specialised in hydraulic flow test and measurement equipment for years: designing, manufacturing and calibrating flow meters that use three core technologies: turbine, variable orifice and gear. In addition, Webtec's hydraulic test equipment focuses on combining excellent product quality, both in terms of accuracy and reliability, with ruggedness suitable for field use on mobile and industrial machinery. While flow measurement is their core strength, Webtec has also developed complementary products to measure hydraulic pressure, temperature, shaft speed, power and pump volumetric efficiency. Hydraulic test equipment from Webtec is popular due to its simple and easy operation.

Webtec's portable testers allow to easily and safely simulate operating conditions using the built-in load valve to help pinpoint the fault. The DHCR tester, being used with two flow meters and a phototach can measure flow, pressure, temperature and speed. For safety, these testers include the unique INTERPASS(R) protection system. In the event of over-pressurisation, burst discs built-in to the load valve safely bypass oil internally through the valve and back to tank and not externally into the environment or onto a user.

Webtec has a policy of innovation and continuous improvement that has led to unique features such as the bi-directional pressure balanced load valve, internal burst discs and simplified controls.

Webtec specialises in re- calibration of all hydraulic test equipment, whether from the Webtec range or another manufacturer's. Our centre is equipped for electronic and mechanical repair work with flow, pressure and temperature calibration facilities in the hydraulic test equipment.

Applications of hydraulic test equipment

Applications of hydraulic test equipment on mobile machinery include research and development testing; pump testing, fault-finding and preventative maintenance. On industrial equipment, key applications of hydraulic test equipment are condition monitoring and fault-finding on hydraulic and lubrication systems.

Portable Hydraulic Tester

The Webster DHM 3 Series Digital Hydraulic Multimeter is a fully digital portable hydraulic tester designed to test the performance of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves and hydrostatic transmissions. The easy-to-use design of such portable hydraulic testers, allow the operator to just switch on and test, without a complex setup or special training.

The DHM hydraulic tester measures flow, pressure and temperature. In addition, the DHM holds the peak pressure value as well as calculating hydraulic power and volumetric efficiency using the unique P-Q test button.

The DHM hydraulic portable tester is the ideal tool for pinpointing hydraulic system faults, reducing downtime, and helping in preventative maintenance. The design builds on the very successful Webster DHT range of portable hydraulic testers with the addition of a large digital display and a built-in pressure transducer.

The turbine flow meter with built-in loading valve is bi-directional and specifically designed to enable the operator to simulate the maximum working pressure safely during normal machine operation.

All Webster portable hydraulic testers have safety discs built-in to protect the operator and the tester in the event of excessive pressure, allowing oil to bypass the loading valve internally with no spillage of oil from the hydraulic circuit, thus eliminating any danger to the operator or environmental hazards.

Our hydraulic portable testers combine excellent product quality, both in terms of accuracy and reliability

Hydraulic Flow Indicator

The Reversible Flow Indicator Kit mechanical hydraulic flow meter provides the ideal solution for servicing and commissioning hydraulic circuits on agricultural and other mobile machinery. The kit comprises of a flow indicator with built in thermometer, a loading valve and a pressure gauge all built into a strong steel case with a removable lid. The unit of the reversible flow indicator kit is self contained and requires no electrical power. The dials provided in this hydraulic flow meter are clear and easy to read.

Installation is extremely simple and the test kit can be connected into either the pressure or return lines. The loading valve and pressure gauge allow a progressive build up of system pressure in complete safety.

The reversible flow indicator hydraulic flow meter provides the service engineer with quick, accurate and simple performance testing of pumps, motors, valves, cylinders and complete hydraulic circuits.

Directional Control Valves

Webtec concentrates on auxiliary flow and directional control valves. The underlying hydraulic valve technology in all of its hydraulic components is based on mature designs that have been customised, modified and improved to reflect changes both in customer needs as well as in manufacturing capability.

Applications for hydraulic components:

Applications of hydraulic components are mostly mobile where auxiliary hydraulic valves are used within the main system or on towed equipment to control motor or cylinder speed or direction.

Priority Flow Dividers 2FV2V Series

Variable Priority Type Flow Dividers split a single input flow into a 'Priority' (regulated) flow and a 'By-Pass' (excess) flow which can be returned directly to the oil reservoir or used to power a second system. In many instances, this dispenses with the need for another pump to operate a second system.

Hydraulic Data Logger HPM4000 series

Webtec releases the all-new HPM4000 series, an ideal entry-level data logger for a hydraulic service engineer.

The brand new HPM4000 series hydraulic data logger, the latest addition to Webtec's popular HPM range is targeted at users who carry out hydraulic pre-dispatch inspection, preventive maintenance and simple diagnostic fault-finding.

The HPM4000 series is a very cost-effective solution, ideal for measuring, displaying and recording a number of hydraulic parameters so that the data can be easily transferred to a computer for further analysis, using the seventh generation HPMComm Windows™ software, supplied free-of-charge.

The HPM4000 series data loggers enable a hydraulic service engineer to measure flow, pressure and temperature, capture peak values, display power and differential pressure as well as log the readings at the touch of a button. The data logger has a backlit four-line 3.5" display and Nano-USB stick as standard and still fits in the palm of your hand, weighing just 540g.

Hydraulic Test Equipment

Webtec marks 50 years with Special Edition all gold2014 with a brand new gold wrapped hydraulic tester!

It has been 50 years since the company was founded as a joint venture between Webster Electric and Applied Power in 1964. The original company was called Tektro-Webster and assembled hydraulic pumps and valves for the European market using parts supplied from the USA.

Fast forward 50 years and Webtec is now a private company and has invested heavily in manufacturing as well as new product development in both hydraulic control valves and hydraulic test equipment, in particular oil flow measurement.

To mark this very special 'Golden' landmark, Webtec has produced a special edition portable hydraulic tester, wrapped in gold rather than Webtec's traditional blue. The portable hydraulic tester was first introduced by the company in 1971 and the design has evolved considerably over the years and is now often the 'tool of choice' amongst service technicians and hydraulic engineers world-wide for pump testing and hydraulic fault-finding of mobile and industrial systems to quickly isolate faults and prevent costly downtime.
