MTS announces its Most Efficient Hydraulic Power Unit Ever Produced

Thursday, Aug 27, 2015

MTS Systems Corporation, a leading global supplier of high-performance test systems and position sensors, today announced the release of the new MTS SilentFlo™ 515 Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU). This new model builds upon a long history of industry-leading HPU technology, and offers even greater energy efficiency and reduced total cost of ownership.

Originally released in 1998, the MTS SilentFlo line features some of the quietest HPUs available on the market today, and this new pump is even quieter than the previous model. In addition, the new SilentFlo 515 model is up to 8% more energy efficient than its predecessors, while maintaining a compact footprint and easy access for operation and maintenance.

"MTS has led the market in hydraulic knowledge and expertise," states Dr. Bill Bachrach, Senior Vice President and General Manager, MTS Test. "The development and release of this product demonstrates continued innovation and leadership in hydromechanical technologies."

The new power unit offers smart monitoring capabilities, as well as new power modules, manifolds, and cooling options. MTS also provides a seamless integration path through compatibility with previous MTS SilentFlo HPU models. This effortless integration enables customers to begin to see the value immediately, and for years to come.

"Built on a legacy of excellence, this new product release signifies yet another milestone in MTS' commitment to improving energy efficiency and offering the highest-value solutions to our customers," shared Dr. Jeffrey Graves, Chief Executive Officer and President of MTS. "As our world faces challenges with energy scarcity and environmental concerns, MTS continues to address these global issues."
