Today AAEON Europe, the industrial computing subsidiary of the world's second largest PC manufacturer ASUS Inc. in Taiwan, and HMS Networks announced a European strategic cooperation. As a first step both companies agreed to provide solutions for industrial customers to close the gap between industrial networking and IT networking.
"Leading the industrial Internet of Things is our mission. Enabling the Internet of Things in industrial automation means connecting machines to the cloud. However each machine speaks its own language, we as AAEON are providing the brain, our industrial box PC and Human-Machine interfaces, but we have been missing the industrial networking communications. By integrating HMS communication modules into our solution this allows our products to control and communicate with the machines. As the leader in embedded computing, we wanted to partner with the leader in industrial communication, which is HMS" says Fabrizio Del Maffeo -Managing Director AAEON Europe.
Mr. Thomas Waggershauser, Product Line Manager of HMS says "With each industrial communication evolution the number of network types and protocols increases in the market of industrial communication. With our know-how on industrial communication built up over more than 25 years of business-operation, HMS is supporting all the major networks used in Industrial automation. With Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), new challenges for industrial applications will arise. By teaming up with AAEON, we are glad to have found the perfect partner. Together we can help customers closing the gap between industrial communication and IT networking".
Moreover AAEON introduced several new products in the Transportation, Automation and Smart Metering markets. These products are ready to be integrated with HMS communication card IXXAT INpact. Together these products allow our customers improved control over their production facilities and transportation vehicles.
"We are excited to introduce our Intelligent Gateway products to the Transportation, Automation and Smart Metering markets. We have new series of intelligent systems products as a part of our Internet of Things solution and we are ready for the integration with the HMS technology which gives our intelligent systems an opportunity to broaden our solutions and connect all kind of machines and systems used in the Automation Market" said Marlo Banganga, head of product management division, AAEON Europe.
