Stepper Motor Controller phyMOTION® supersedes Phytron's IXE-Framework  

The extended phyMOTION® framework provides highest precision driving performance, integrated power supply and power stages up to 15 A peak, 120V and Safe-Torque-Off (SIL 3 / PLe). With a long list of new features this next generation of integrated Motion Controller will supersede phytron's former flagship IXE.

The phyMOTION® provides PLC functionality (digital and analogue I/Os) combined with Motion Control features (linear and circular interpolation, encoder & resolver evaluation and limit switches) with CNC-like performance. Power supply and power stages are integrated into the housing to provide minimal cabling effort and a highly reliable design.

The phyMOTION® framework now offers Safe-Torque-Off Modules (SIL 3 / PLe) and the controller can be managed directly with Human-Machine-Interfaces - either with an integrated touch-display, external touch terminals, a key panel or an android tablet. The phyMOTION® can also be driven via USB or Ethernet connection to a PC, stand alone, as decentralized intelligence or as slave underneath existing PLC-Systems (e.g. Siemens PLCs via Profinet). With a wide range of interfaces the phyMOTION® is Industry 4.0 ready: Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, CAN, Bluetooth, USB, RS232, RS485.

Where ever high precision positioning is needed-from automatic looms to particle accelerator experiments-the high performance controller, made in germany fulfills requirements in industry and science. In scientific environments the phyMOTION® can convince with features like an EPICS-Multi-Axis-Driver, a free LabView driver and the free Development Environment phyLOGIC® Toolbox.

The new controller generation was launched in 2012 and is already used in a wide range of applications. “The phyMOTION® will continue its success and extend it to the high power range up to 15 A peak.
