Founded by Lamberto Vanti in Milan in 1946 the company initially manufactured components for heating and air-conditioning systems, three-pole pressure switches, electric servomotors, electromagnetic and motorised valves. The product range expanded in the 50’s with pneumatic instrumentation being added to the production of electromechanical components. The gradual development of industrial automation created a growing demand for solenoid valves, leading the company to move into this specialised field.
In the early 80’s the company began to produce first the micro solenoid valves and then the total isolation solenoid valves (DRY) and pinch solenoid valve versions in addition to the original general purpose solenoid valves. In 1998, SIRAI® became part of the US Emerson Electric Co. Group which, thanks to the synergy within the Group, led to the strengthening of the sales network worldwide.
The strength and reliability of this range of solenoid valves make them the ideal solution for a wide variety of industrial applications. Solenoid valves are particularly suitable for the control of water, air, inert gases, steam and non-aggressive fluids in general.
The h4 compact body and the technical solutions adopted in permit reduced overall dimensions, reduced installation times and targeted maintenance.
Produced in 2/2 or 3/2 versions plus proportional control and latching versions.
The numerous standard models, the special versions already available in the catalogue and the possibility of developing new valves to satisfy specific needs, mean that SIRAI can provide solutions for the most complex applications.
SIRAI® micro solenoid valves constitute a specific response to the growing demand for small size low power control components, created by the constantly increasing integration of electronics and industry. A natural development of general purpose solenoid valves, micro solenoid valves can control a variety of non-aggressive liquid and gaseous fluids.
In addition to maintaining an excellent balance between miniaturisation and reliability, the construction solutions adopted in micro solenoid valves provide the possibility of disassembly for cleaning and maintenance.
Micro solenoid valves are produced in 2/2 or 3/2 versions, plus proportional control and latching versions.
The micro solenoid valves can be produced according to customized drawings and with materials and performances different from the standard models in the catalogue to meet specific or particularly complex requirements.
Total isolation solenoid valves (DRY) combine the traditional characteristics of strength and reliability with construction solutions. This makes Sirai manufactured isolation solenoid valves particularly suitable for the control of aggressive and/or non-contaminable fluids.
Within the isolation solenoid valves, the fluid is in contact only with the valve body and isolation lever or diaphragm. This unique design of isolation solenoid valves protects the fluid from any chemical contamination and/or thermal shock.
Isolation solenoid valves are produced in 2/2 or 3/2 versions plus miniaturised, silent versions and with a latching actuator.
These isolation solenoid valves are particularly versatile, suitable for applications in the food, biotechnology, chemical/pharmaceutical and physiological/medical sectors.
The operating principles of pinch solenoid valves are basically different from other series. The pinching device in pinch solenoid valves is moved by a solenoid operator and cuts off the fluid by pinching or releasing tubing in soft silicon (or other soft material). The fluid can flow in either direction with a high rate of flow, without turbulences and without dead spaces.
Thus, pinch solenoid valves can control all the fluids that are compatible with the tubing material, protecting them from all contamination, including temperature changes. These characteristics, plus the fact that the tubing are extremely easy to install and replace, make pinch solenoid valve suitable for a wide variety of applications particularly the control of physiological, medical and food fluids.
Also for these series of pinch solenoid valves 2/2 or 3/2 version are available plus miniaturised and latching models. All models of pinch solenoid valves are silenced.
